Born 1971 in Nexoe – the island of Bornholm. Lives and works in Copenhagen.
It is the colours that are Martin Christensens main force of attraction, but also the motive plays an important role. This mainly because human beings, and their mutual relations interests him. It is the feelings, conditions, presence, and the influence of human beings on others, and them selves. Things are not always what they seem to be – there are lots of layers and levels in being a human being.
His souces of inspiration are many, e.g. newspapers, magazines, advertisements, urban life and people on the street. All the time he is looking for something eye-catching – things that affects him, something interesting.
